volunteer opportunities

We have a variety of areas for individuals to contribute to LEAP in a volunteer capacity. Supporting fundraising events, aiding us in gathering and analyzing data about the impact of our programs, or other essential areas of organizational support. Due to the nature of our programs, we generally do not have volunteers join us on our river programs.

Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities 2023

  • BOARD SERVICE: If you’re passionate about our mission and want to support LEAP through volunteer service as a member of our Board of Directors, please share your interest via email with our Board Chair, Erik Weiseth: erik@orangetorpedo.com

  • COMMITTEE SERVICE: Interested in sharing your time and talent to one of our working groups or committees? This can be a great stepping stone towards Board Service and is a great support to our organization. To learn more, please reach out via email to our Executive Director, Seth Truby: seth@leapadventure.org

  • EVENT SUPPORT: We host a few fun, community-oriented fundraising events each year. Volunteer support makes all the difference to make these events a success. If you’re interested in supporting our 2023 events, please complete the form below and send an email to: info@leapadventure.org

    • Upcoming Events:

      • Variety Show — April 14, 2023

      • Paddle Challenge — June 24, 2023

      • Rotary/LEAP Golf Tournament - Sept 11, 2023

  • SUMMER PROGRAM ADMIN SUPPORT (May - August): data entry for rosters, organizing participant forms/files, prep participant survey spreadsheets, various other admin tasks throughout our program season. Ideal candidate would be able to commit 3-5 hours per week from early/mid May through mid/late August, 2023. Please complete the interest form below!

  • PROGRAM IMPACT DATA ENTRY + ANALYSIS (August - October): each season we conduct a series of surveys to continually evaluate and improve our programs based on what participants note as important factors, as well as highlight consistent areas of impact. We are seeking support for data entry from surveys and statistical analysis of the results. Ideal candidates would have a solid foundation in data analysis and statistical inference including t-tests, ANOVA, and ideally simple linear regression. Some qualitative data analysis skills would also be useful. Time commitment for all aspects of the project would be 4-5 hours per week for up to 12 weeks. This project could also be divided into two positions — one for data entry (likely between 12-20 hours) and another for spreadsheet management and analysis (likely between 20-30 hours) — if timelines were coordinated for completion by end of October 2023.

Thank you for considering our specific areas of need!
